Apologies but I don’t think much about that. That song came out when I was in my junior year in high school - 17 years ago! When we listened to the Eraserheads then, we did because their songs mirrored some of our feelings, we didn’t over analyze.
And coming from an all-boys school, songs like Torpedo and Kailan had lyrics which allowed us to express ourselves to young women who caught our attention.
We also listened to their music because they sounded different from grungy bands we listened to during the early 90s. The band was a break from tunes coming from Nirvana, STP and Pearl Jam.
